Common Questions

Things People Ask Before Reaching Out

A few answers to help you decide if I'm the right fit.

Q Do I have to come in person, or can we work remotely?
Both options are available. Many of my clients work with me entirely online — I use a secure client portal (TaxDome) for documents and communication, and Zoom for consultations. If you prefer in-person, my office is in Tustin.
Q Do you only work with teachers?
My practice is centered on teachers, school employees, and their families — including spouses, parents, and adult children. I also welcome a limited number of other individual and family clients whose needs align with my area of focus. If someone in your household is an educator, you're in the right place.
Q What do I need to bring or send for my tax appointment?
W-2s, 1099s, last year's return if you're a new client, and any relevant documents (mortgage interest, charitable donations, CalSTRS statements, etc.). Once you sign up through the portal I'll send you a complete checklist.
Q Are you available outside of tax season?
Yes — I'm a year-round practice. Life events don't wait for April. Whether you have a mid-year tax question, want to start a 403(b), or are ready to set up a living trust, I'm available all year.
Q Is there a fee for an initial consultation?
For 403(b) and retirement planning, the initial consultation is free with no obligation. For tax prep and living trusts, click "Learn More & Get Started" below we'll see if we make a good fit for one another.

Ready to Get Started?

The easiest first step is filling out a short questionnaire online. It takes less than 10 minutes and I'll take it from there.
